So for all of you who haven’t seen it, this is my old Kay bass. The top is getting too soft, and the back is really beat up and chipped too. So, I’m thinking about putting a new top and back on it, and a neck I have that isn’t cracked in the middle. The only problem? The finishes aren’t even close. How should I refinish it? I’m debating on a dark cherry burst, a French Polish, or a medium varnish of some sort. Right now I’m morel leaning towards the Cherry Burst, but what is your input?
